Megasync desktop app11/9/2022 ![]() Megasync desktop app full#I don't need it breaking my system either (oldstable).Ģb) Any trusted place to grab an appimage? I'd prefer this to a system-wide installation of an alien package (which is why I tend to build aliens from source without installing them and then just call them from their full path - of course appimages save me a lot of complications/hassle here). What always makes me wary about any software is if it's not in Debian's repos (it's in AUR, but there's a lot in AUR that I'd never, ever install). How well is it audited, anyway? Can't find much online. If someone could help me troubleshoot this, then this would be optimal!Ģa) Anyone used Megasync? How safe/stable is it? I know it's open source, but a) the precompiled package isn't, and b) I can't spend hours sifting through code to audit it if I'm to build it from source. I try a basic ls ( megals -u "my email" -p "my password which is bad practice" /Root) and I get:ĮRROR: Can't login to mega.nz: API call 'us' failed: Server returned error EEXPIRED Rclone doesn't seem to support Mega either.ġ) Can't get megatools to work. Anyway, the web UI is okay, but having a cliant is better, obviously. ![]() ![]() Recently I switched to Mega because they have better privacy, cheaper plans, and faster upload speeds across the board (some may have one superior aspect, this is a combo across the board) which are things I need since I'm now backing up a fair amount of data and will eventually be backing up virtual hdds, too. ![]()
